Dictionary.com

Hardly a day passes by that I don't stop by Dictionary.com.  I like learning new words, and I like using words correctly.  While there today, I noticed they had a section called "The Hot Word Blog."  I thought this was cute:

I was interested to learn that the female version of the cuckold is called a cucquean. That's definitely a new word for me!


As for me, I'll stick to monadry (the practice of having one husband at a time), thank you very much. I'll be looking for a Galahad (a man showing devotion to the highest ideals. From Arthurian legend), and hopefully he'll be quite uxorious (doting upon one's wife).
